All bogging night tonight, Apple TV 2 refused to display Netflix properly. The menus were slow, not all images displayed quickly and program just would not load !
I tried rebooting, changing routers (I have multiple internet connections into my home), and changing DNS, but all to avail.
Out of desperation I fired up the Wii and Netflix runs on that flawlessly albeit with a crappy picture! It plays fine on my iPad and my Computer so it HAS to be an Apple TV issue.
arrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Apple TV I hate you !!!! If it wasn’t for your shortcomings I wouldn’t have had to watch Bridget Jone’s Diary, yet again !!!!!!!
Seriously though…. tomorrow the Apple TV is going to learn to fly from my deck and I’m buying a Roku / Xbox / [fill in suitable name here] instead – I’ve had enough of this piece of junk! And if Apple thinks ‘m going to replace it with another Apple product, they are seriously mistaken!
TV in my house is like water and the Sun – it’s not a luxury, it’s a necessity for life and if the Apple TV can’t provide this very basic feature (we cut the cable cord a few months ago) – then I’ll find another product that can!
Mr. Jobs you were wrong – Netbooks are cheap, they have crappy keyboards and screens but they can do something vey well : They can Play Netflix !!!!!!!!!
