Since upgrading to the January Technical preview of Windows 10 on surface pro 3, I find that IE is crashing a lot more than it used too. Of course I realize this is a technical preview and not a release product, so these kinds of things are to be expected.
However I stumbled across a fix.
Open IE (if you can’t because your homepage is one of the pages that causes it to crash, then right click the icon and choose Start InPrivate Browsing).
Then navigate to Tools –> Internet Options –> Advanced and check the Box that reads “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering*” and IE should stop crashing !
Enjoy Windows 10 !
